Developer License
A Developer License is required for each computer (or virtual image) where J-Integra® is installed for development and testing purposes.
Server License
A Server License is required if the J-Integra® runtime JAR file (jintegra.jar) is packaged within a Java application that will be deployed to a computer (or virtual image) that provides services to client software running on other computers. There is no maximum limit to the number of clients that are allowed to connect.
Some examples of when a server license is required include:
- Deploying J-Integra® for COM in an Application Server (such as IBM's WebSphere) to provide bi-directional communication between an EJB and a COM component.
- Deploying J-Integra® for COM in a Java application to provide bi-directional communication between Java objects and ASPs hosted in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
- Deploying J-Integra® for COM within an Applet or Java Web Start application that will be downloaded from a central server.
Client License
A Client License is required if the J-Integra® runtime JAR file (jintegra.jar) is packaged within a Java application that will be deployed to a computer (or virtual image) that does not provide services to client software running on other computers. Please note that a client license will not work if J2EE classes are detected on the application's classpath.
ISV Licensing
The J-Integra® ISV program allows for the integration of J-Integra® within a commercial product release. If you wish to ship J-Integra® within a commercial application, then our ISV Program may be of interest to you.
